Booking Conditions

At Maison du Ruisseau we believe firmly in fairness and good value for our clients.  The following booking conditions provide a fair framework for you as the client and for us the owners of Maison du Ruisseau.  Please read these carefully.

Terms and Conditions
 
1) Gîte lettings
 
These run from 4pm Saturday to 10am the following Saturday, however shorter breaks are possible on alternative days and by prior arrangement with the owners.
 
2) Capacity
 
Only people stated on the booking form are allowed to stay at the property and the capacity stated in the property description is the maximum.
 
3) Families
 
Children are welcome but please note that there are areas and stone floors, which might not be safe for very young children.  Parents and guardians are reminded that it is their responsibility entirely for the supervision and safety of their children during your stay at all times.  Your attention is drawn to the road outside our property, which although is quiet is a public highway. Please be vigilant.
 
4) Baby Equipment
 
We are happy to provide a cot complete with mattress and a high chair at no extra cost. We cannot guarantee that they will comply with British Standards. You will probably prefer to bring your own bedding.
 
5) Accommodation
 
Our Gîtes are family friendly where you can be sure of first class hospitality and a warm welcome from us as we strive to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.  A welcome pack is included on arrival with basic produce for your first night and breakfast.
Great care and thought has been taken to furnish and equip all our Gîtes to a high standard for your total enjoyment. We do understand that items get broken or damaged. Please tell us as soon as you can so that we can replace them for the next guests.
 
6) No Smoking
 
In accordance with European regulations smoking is not allowed in any of the properties or the buildings on site.
 
7) Cleaning
 
All our properties are cleaned for your arrival.  During your stay we would ask you to take good care of the property; and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of your rental ready for the next guests.  A cleaning fee is payable on departure dependant upon size of the gite.  Should your gites be left in a poor condition or there be damage to the equipment, compensation will automatically be deducted from your security payment.
 
8) Linen and Towels
 
Bed linen, house-towels and pool towels are provided free of charge.  However please bring your own towels for the beach.  A change of bed linen will be provided for you mid-week by arrangement.
 
9) Swimming Pool:
 
The pool is open to residents from May to October.  It will be open between the hours of 9-10am and 7-8pm, (flexible on times) . The pool is not heated. It is 9x5 metres and is approx 1.1metres in the shallow end graduating down to 1.8 metres. The pool is shared between the 3 properties at Maison du Ruisseau and is accessed up five steps. The pool is fitted with a safety alarm in accordance with French law. Use of the swimming pool is entirely at the hirer’s own risk. The owners accept no liability. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 16


10) Heating and Water
 
All our Gîtes benefit from under floor heating, and the normal use of water, gas and electricity is included in your rental. However water is metered so please ensure not to leave taps running.
 
11) Internet Access
 
Access to Internet across the site.
 
12) Pets
 
We regret that pets are not allowed as the owners have a cat.
 
13) Insurance
 
It is vital to make your own arrangements regarding holiday insurance.
To protect yourself and your family against medical expenses, cancellation of your holiday and other losses that may be incurred, all UK residents should have the European Health Card (GHIC), which has replaced the E111.  The GHIC allows you to access free or reduced cost medical treatment for accidents or illness whilst on holiday.
 
14) General Liability
 
Due to the nature of our business, we can accept no responsibility for any loss, injury, death or damage, which might be incurred while staying on site at Maison du Ruisseau.
The owner shall not be liable to the client; for any temporary defect or stoppage of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool; for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the owners; for any loss¸ damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the owner shall, within seven days of notification to the client, refund the client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.
 
15) Limit of Liability
 
Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period.
 
16) Summary of what is included in your holiday
 
•Accommodation as described including services (gas, water, and electricity)
•Baby equipment, cot and high chair if required
•Bed linen, towels, tea towels. pool towels
•Property cleaned and ready for your arrival
•Welcome pack with produce for your first evening and breakfast plus a small supply of cleaning materials, (to be replaced when you leave).
•Sole use of the property set in shared gardens
•Shared use of a private swimming pool and sun loungers
•Garden furniture
•Barbecue equipment.
 
If, during your holiday, you should encounter any problems we shall do our utmost to help, even when we do not accept responsibility and have no legal obligation to do so.
